Somatic Ecotherapy Mission
Offering self-inspired and creative body and nature-based therapeutic activities such as
expressive arts therapy (art, music, and movement), yoga, ecotherapy, and transpecies therapy
(animal assisted therapy). Our services seek to compassionately serve humanity and Nature by
facilitating integration and unity between physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of
Self in conjunction with Gaia, the web of life and underlying Spirit.
Services
Somatic/Movement Therapy: The practice of attuning to, moving from, and honoring the
messages of sensory experiences, embodied emotions, and 'dis-ease' of the body and mind to
further the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual integration of the Self through yoga and
expressive movement.
Ecotherapy: Also known as applied ecopsychology, cultivates a mutually healing relationship
between humans, animals, plants and ecosystems incorporating therapeutic nature-based
approaches such as wilderness backpacking, outdoor recreational activities (hiking, kayaking,
canoing, rock climbing), gardening, wilderness survival skills, rites of passage, and transpecies
(animal assisted) therapy.
Equine Assisted Therapy: An opportunity to connect with horses in a collaborative,
experiential, reverential, relational way as horse mirrors our mind and ego and empowers the
soul.
More services such as Yoga Instruction, Wellness Coaching to come soon.
